Native Arts and Crafts on Bay was created to be “The Space for Bahamian Art”, located right in the heart of our capital city, downtown Nassau, New Providence. The Art Gallery is a unique Bahamian environment that focuses on showcasing creative art that was made here in the Bahamas. It is a treasure trove of indigenous crafts, culturally inspired paintings, sculptures, ceramics and jewelry and other unique creations. The gallery hosts the work of over 20 artists and artisans. Group Sip and Paints, workshops, demonstrations, field-trips and art classes are also offered. At Native Arts and Crafts on Bay, locals and visitors alike enter the doors to celebrate the Bahamas’ rich artistic heritage and to indulge in the island’s artistry and services.

Is all artwork created by Bahamians?

Yes, we only carry artwork, jewelry and native crafts from our local Bahamian artisans who, between them, have hundreds of years of experience making native artwork.

What are our operating days/times?

We are open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

What kind of artwork do we sell?

We have artwork from various Bahamian artists that range from watercolor, acrylic paintings and drawings to jewelry, photo prints, bags and other unique craft items. Come in to see the uniquely crafted handiwork that you will not find anywhere else in The Bahamas.
