Artist Statement

Art is my way of expressing the beauty, spirit, and emotions found in nature, culture, and history. Through my paintings, I capture the scenes and feelings that inspire me, creating artwork that reflects the peaceful beauty of the tropical islands of The Bahamas.

My artistic style blends realism and surrealism, allowing me to recreate the natural landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland while also expressing deeper emotions and imagination. My work celebrates “things Bahamian” and seeks to preserve and promote our unique cultural heritage.

My lifelong mission is to use my artistic gifts to serve God while inspiring and developing the creativity of others. One of my greatest dreams is to establish The Bahamas Institute of Art and Design, a place where artists of all ages can discover, nurture, and expand their artistic abilities.

Art is creating a visual expression of nature, culture, history and emotions.

I paint the beauty I see and feel to create a sense of peace.
